Finally the rain has stopped! Time for a cookout. I made a bunch of different things:
Grilled baby potatoes- boiled for about 20minutes then cooled and pressed flat between two tea towels. A bunch of them were smashed until a breaking point- turns out to be delicate stuff. Then brush both sides with olive oil and grill about 4 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper. done and done.

I also grilled up some sausages and steak tips from Dom's. Their original steak tips are tiptaskic.
For the veggies- grilled squash and grilled bread (almost like naan) with a little goat cheese spread.

Finally, in my quest to try to make one million different versions of s'mores...
S'mores Cupcakes!
There is graham cracker on the bottom, chocolaty middle and a toast marshmallow top. I really really really love them. The recipe comes from Martha. I just added a few graham cracker crumbs on the top before baking instead of the chocolate and graham it calls for...I also used extra graham cracker on the bottoms and got about 26 cupcakes out of the recipe.

Be careful if you try to make the frosting on a humid day- it proved difficult to keep stiff peaks!
