Love when what we think are flops turn into happy endings. It looks great.
I was suspicious when I saw how thin the batter but was delighted when it turned out perfectly. Your bread looks wonderful!
WoW! Well hooray for happy endings! Looks delicious too. =)
i left out the fruit too, and almost subbed apple butter before finding a miracle jar of applesauce in the back of my fridge! it looks great!
don't you just LOVE when you have almost NO expectations for something to bake up but then it does AND it tastes good too? i find these moments help to counteract the high hopes/being let down moments.
High five for being resourceful!! Great bread!!
I'm glad your substitutions worked out. Thanks for baking with me this week!
YUM! Love the oatmeal in the topping!
I love forgiving recipes since I'm always out of something and too lazy to go to the store. Great job!
Great save! This is truly a versatile recipe.
It seems many of us made substitutions and the bread came out. Perhaps, it should be called, Magic Bread. Yours looks terrific.
Sounds like it worked out pretty great to me. And it looks wonderful, too.
Your bread looks terrific! The topping on this bread is good enough to save it, no matter what else you do.
Looks good! Glad it turned out with your changes.
Disasterously wonderful I would say! Love the sprinkled oats on top - what a great idea. Truly looks like an "oatmeal loaf"! I kept the fruit and added liquor. :) Glad it turned out for you!
Wow, way to make it work. Fun to know juice worked!
yay! looks great to me!
Apple juice would be quite a flavor enhancer. Great save on this one.
